Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Winbuzz collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and what control you have over it.

It applies to your use of the platform, whether through the website or the app. It is written in plain language, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Scope

This policy covers information relating to you as an identified or identifiable person. It does not cover anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you.

Where a third party such as a payment provider or a game supplier handles your information under their own systems, their own policies apply to that handling.

Verification information is collected because money can only be paid out to an account that has been confirmed as yours. That protection cannot function without it.

Automated Checks

Some checks run automatically rather than being carried out by a person each time.

That includes screening for duplicate accounts, flagging unusual sign in patterns such as access from an unfamiliar device or location, and identifying activity consistent with a compromised account or with promotion abuse.

An automated flag does not decide anything on its own where the outcome would materially affect you. A restriction on an account is reviewed by a person, and if you believe a decision affecting your account was wrong, you can ask for it to be looked at again through the complaints route.

These checks exist because the alternative is worse. Without them, account takeover and duplicate account abuse would be considerably easier, and both of those cost ordinary players money.

Marketing and Communications

We separate messages about your account from messages designed to bring you back to it.

Account and service communications, such as a security alert, a withdrawal confirmation or a change to these terms, are part of operating your account and are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

Promotional communications are optional. You can change your preference at any point in your account settings, and you can switch off promotional notifications in the app separately. Doing so does not affect your account in any way.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The platform uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking core functions such as staying signed in through a session. Others can be managed through your browser settings.

Clearing cookies signs you out and resets remembered preferences. That is expected behaviour rather than a fault, and it is a reasonable thing to do on a device you share.

Who We Share Information With?

We do not sell your personal information. There is no arrangement under which your data is sold to advertisers or data brokers.

Information is shared only where there is a specific reason to:

  • Payment providers and banks, to process deposits and withdrawals.
  • Verification and fraud prevention services, to confirm identity and detect duplicate or compromised accounts.
  • Technology and hosting providers, who operate the systems the platform runs on under obligations of confidentiality.
  • Game and data suppliers, to the extent needed to deliver the games and markets you use.
  • Regulators, law enforcement and legal advisers, where we are required to or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Each of these receives what is necessary for their role and no more.

Information You Give Us About Other People

Occasionally people include somebody else’s details in a support message, most often a payment made from a relative’s account or a screenshot containing another person’s information.

Do not send us information about other people unless it is genuinely necessary to resolve your query. Where you do, we will handle it under this policy and use it only for the purpose it was sent for.

This connects to a rule that applies throughout the platform. Accounts and payment methods must be your own, so a situation where somebody else’s financial details are relevant to your account is usually a sign that something needs correcting rather than explaining.

How Long We Keep It?

Account information is kept for as long as the account is open.

After closure, information is retained for the period required to meet legal, regulatory, financial and dispute resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Records relating to self exclusion are kept for the duration of the exclusion and afterwards, because an exclusion that could be erased by closing an account would not function as a protection.

How We Protect It?

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls limiting who can see what internally, and monitoring for unusual account activity.

Passwords are stored in a protected form that cannot simply be read back. That is why support cannot read your password back to you, and why any request for it is coming from somebody who should not have it.

No system is perfectly secure, and the strongest control on your account is not ours. It is a password that exists nowhere else, a one time code you never share, and signing out on devices that are not yours.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Access the information held on your account through your account screens.
  • Correct contact details and account settings yourself.
  • Request correction of information you cannot change directly, such as a verified name.
  • Withdraw consent for promotional communications at any time.
  • Request closure of your account.
  • Request deletion of information, subject to what we are legally required to retain.

Requests are made through the official support channels. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on one, which is a protection rather than an obstacle, since a request to change or release account information is exactly what somebody impersonating you would make.

Children

The platform is for adults aged eighteen and above only. We do not knowingly collect information relating to anyone under that age.

Where an account is found to belong to a minor, it is closed and the associated information is handled in line with our legal obligations.

Where a device is shared with a young person, avoid saving credentials on it and end each session properly.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the platform or our obligations change. Whatever is published on the site at the time is the version in force.

Where a change materially affects how your information is used, we will make that clear rather than relying on you noticing a new date.

Contacting Us About Privacy

Privacy queries go through the official Winbuzz support channels published on the site. Say clearly that the query is about your personal information so it is routed correctly.

Include your account username and a description of what you are asking for. As with any account request, never include your password.
